OK, what am I missing here? Killerstartups.com is getting 1.5 million page views, and as far as I can tell they are adding absolutely no value, but are simply trolling the Internet and adding every website they come accross to their WordPress based blog, with absolutely no analysis or review. All this does is add a massive number of keywords from other sites to their blog, which is then indexed by Google – hence the traffic, which is coming from Google searches for keywords they they have lifted from other sites…
I even noticed that on their latest posts, they have a poll as to what you think will happen to the “startup” featured on this page next. Vote on this poll in more than one site review and the results are the same every time.
My personal favourite was when I found 501(C)3 charity sites that list 50% of poll respondents as saying they will be receiving Venture Capital next. I cry foul – the data is faked. It would be very interesting to see what their Adsense revenue is with that page-view count.
Anybody else tired of seeing the same old story over and over again, people making good money on the web for doing absolutely nothing – and sometimes even miss-leading folks (as I contend these guys are doing with the fake poll information)?
