OS 5.0.0.411 for Bold 9000 & Curve 8900

by clementsm on December 16, 2009

The latest BlackBerry firmware leaks for the Bold 9000 and the Curve 8900 has been spotted over at bbleaks.com. There is also one for the 8520 and all three versions of 5.0.0.411 is available on BlackBerry Cool..

I installed 5.0.0.411 on my Bold 9000, and the single thing that impressed me most, was the significant reduction in the boot time. I hate waiting for my BB to reboot, as I am sure most other people with BlackBerrys do, hopefully this is a sign of things to come.

Here are a couple of torrents of the the operating systems, hopefully helping to distribute them more efficiently.

Disclaimer: Bear in bind, this is unsupported beta software. Do not install unless you know what you are doing. If you load this, and your BlackBerry stops functioning, you have no one but yourself to blame. Not RIM, not your network operator nor I will be able to help you! There have been reported issues of a reboot loop with .348 on AT&T, I don’t know if this firmware suffers from the same problem. Also, if you have a company Blackberry, loading this may violate your corporate IT policy and could get you fired.
